Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Bargain family homes at auction and bargain hunters will be delighted at the range of Leicestershire family homes in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction in Birmingham later this month.

DIY experts could snap up a three bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 57 Warwick Street, a stone’s throw from the Fosse Recreation Ground, which has a guide price* of £34,000 to £39,000.

This house stands flush to the pavement with two reception rooms and a kitchen downstairs, while the bedrooms, shower room and toilet are on the first floor.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive at Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This is a great little bargain with what could be a nice little garden at the back and partial double-glazing.

“It needs modernisation but could then be ideal as a first home for a family with children, or for landlords wanting to increase their portfolio.”

A three-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 36 Astill Drive is another bargain at the auction at Villa Park on Thursday 27 February, which will feature a record 215 lots.

This property, also with a guide price of £34,000 to £39,000, stands behind a driveway and front garden with a hall, reception room and dining kitchen downstairs, and bedrooms and bathroom upstairs.

Mr Bassi said: “This is another attractive lot with gardens front and back and double glazing, although again it does need refurbishment.

“But with its location very near to Leicester North Station and the Birstall Gold Club, it could quickly make an excellent base for the right purchaser.”

Another lot needing improvement works is a three-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 59 Kingston Avenue in Wigston, with a guide price of £54,000 to £59,000.

This property has a hall, reception room, dining kitchen, utility area, rear lobby and bathroom downstairs, with the bedrooms on the first floor.

Mr Bassi said: “This house needs modernisation but is worth the effort as it’s in a great location across the road from Knighton Park and close to local shops and schools.”

Other Leicestershire properties at the auction are a two-bedroomed, end-terraced house at 30 Loughborough Road in Thringstone, Coalville, and a three-bedroomed, semi-detached at 19 Rutland Avenue in Hinckley. Both have guide prices of £34,000 to £39,000.

Mr Bassi added: “We have a great range of properties for all buyers, and we’re expecting a packed room of bidders on the day.”

The auction on Thursday 27 February will start at the earlier time of 10am, in order to cater for the record number of lots to be offered on the day.
