Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Competitively priced Black Country properties at auction as Black Country house prices continue to rise. The chance of picking up a bargain is set to attract a small army of bidders at Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction later this month.

Average house prices across the area start at around £150,000, but there are plenty of homes listed for a fraction of that price at the auction at Villa Park on Wednesday 23 October.

This includes a one-bedroomed, purpose-built first floor maisonette at 2 Carver Court on Wake Green Road in Tipton, with a guide price* of just £30,000+.

Over in Wednesfield, a two-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 114 Blackhalve Lane has a guide price of £24,000 to £29,000, while in Bilston a three-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 7 School Drive has a guide price of £29,000 to £34,000.

Meanwhile, in Dudley, a three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 399 Birmingham New Road also comes with the guide price of £29,000 to £34,000, although this is in need of certain improvement works.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “Lots like these show it is still possible to pick up good quality homes at our auctions at prices well below the current market value.

“It is why our events are proving increasingly popular, both with young people looking for a first home and canny investors with a sharp eye for an excellent investment.

“Many of these properties will require some degree of modernisation work, but still offer astonishing value for money. And there are plenty of opportunities for budding property entrepreneurs.”

One of these could be 58 Willow Drive in Oldbury, a two-bedroomed, end-terraced house which comes with a large plot of land that could offer development potential, subject to planning. It has a guide price of just £19,000 to £24,000.

The above properties are among than 120 lots going under the hammer in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next sale on Wednesday 23 October at 10.30am at the regular venue of the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC.

Bond Wolfe Auctions has already offered 490 lots since launching in January this year, including properties across the East and West Midlands and as far afield as Wales and Scotland.

The first four auctions have raised £55 million in sales with an average success rate of 85.5% against the national average of 72% – making it the most successful auctioneers in the Midlands this year.
