Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Former children’s home in rural Worcestershire is appearing at auction in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction in Birmingham on Wednesday 11 December.

The five-bedroomed property is a former children’s home called Woodfield Oaks and is based on Woodfield Lane in Ombersley, near Droitwich, with a guide price* of £375,000+.

The current lay-out includes a porch, hall, lounge, study, two offices, kitchen, utility room and rear porch on the ground floor, with the bedrooms, several bathrooms and toilets upstairs.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “While this large residence was formerly a children’s home, it could easily be converted into a luxury family home, subject to planning consents.

“There are substantial front and rear gardens, a driveway and parking area, a games room and store outside, and the property benefits from gas-fired central heating with the majority of windows double-glazed.

“The location in the beautiful countryside and yet so close to the Midlands motorway networks makes this a wonderful opportunity for a buyer with a vision for its future.”

The former children’s home is just one of 164 lots that will be offered on 11 December at what is the largest property auction to be held in the Midlands in 2019.

Bond Wolfe Auctions, which launched in January this year, has so far sold 503 lots out of 592 offered and raised over £66.2 million with an average success rate of 85% – comfortably making it the West Midlands’ leading auctioneer.
