Gurpreet Triumphs With Another Top Award! 

We are delighted to announce that our Chief Executive, Gurpreet Bassi, has been crowned Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce’s (ABCC) 2020 Awards.

Since launching Bond Wolfe Auctions in January 2019, Gurpreet has also won “Young Leader of the Year” at TheBusinessDesk’s West Midlands Leadership Awards and “Entrepreneur of the Year” at The Signature Awards as well as the company being named Newcomer of the Year at TheBusinessDesk’s West Midlands Masters Awards.

In the virtual event streamed online, Gurpreet was singled out by the judging panel for demonstrating true vision and for being persistent in carving out a place in a highly competitive market.

Gurpreet said: “I am honored to have won this prestigious award, and to be recognised amongst some of the best businesspeople in region.

It has been an exciting and extraordinary couple of years for all of us. I am lucky to have the support of a highly experienced and dedicated team, and none of this would be possible without them.”

In our first year, we sold an impressive 654 lots out of 751 lots offered, with a success rate of 87% and raised more than £81.4 million in sales.

2020 started even better with the first auction of the year in February 2020 setting a new record. Selling 203 lots out of 213 offered, representing a success rate of 96% and raising over £20 million in sales.

Even the challenges of the lockdown, and no longer being able to hold our ballroom auctions with thousands attending to bid in person couldn’t hold us back. We quickly adapted and introduced livestreamed auctions which have proven an extraordinary success.

So far this year we have sold 870 lots out of 919 offered, representing a success rate of 95% and raising £93.7m in sales.

Our lastest auction in October broke our previous record set earlier in the year, raising £21.2m in sales, and with just over a week to go before our final auction of the year on Wednesday 9 December, which includes a further 184 lots.
