Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Welcome to the third edition of Staff Spotlight, our blog series that gives you a closer look at the people who make Bond Wolfe what it is. Each feature showcases a different team member, offering insight into their role, inspirations, and a few fun quick-fire questions.

This time, we’re featuring Perm Daley, our Auction Director. From keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes to her love of Thai food and sci-fi films, let’s get to know Perm a little better!

What is your role at Bond Wolfe, and what does a typical day look like for you?

As Auction Director, I oversee the administration process in the office, ensuring that everything is in place for Auction day and post-auction. I work closely with solicitors and clients to ensure all processes and procedures run smoothly.

What do you enjoy most about working at Bond Wolfe?

The team! I work with a really great bunch of people. Everyone works incredibly hard, but we also have a good laugh. Without such an amazing team, we wouldn’t have such a great business.

What’s your favourite thing about the team at Bond Wolfe?

That we all get along so well! We support each other when things get busy—no one lets another member of staff struggle. There’s a real sense of teamwork and camaraderie.

What drives and motivates you?

I don’t like to admit it (or let him know!), but my husband. He has always believed in me and encourages me to be the best version of myself. He never questions my decisions and supports me wholeheartedly, which drives me to do my best every day.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?

Never take anything for granted. No matter who or what it is, always do your own homework and make sure you have the facts.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren—they are such a blessing!

Do you have any hidden talents or surprising skills?

I wouldn’t call it a talent or skill, but I do have a habit of getting sayings wrong—like saying “sober as a kite” instead of sober as a judge or high as a kite! It always makes people laugh, so I guess my skill is making people laugh without even trying.

What’s your favourite book, movie, or TV show and why?

  • TV Show: Peaky Blinders—the best period drama I’ve seen, although I also loved Downton Abbey.
  • Movie: Stargate—I love sci-fi films!
  • Book: Rats by James Herbert—one of the first books I really enjoyed, and I even read it twice!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’d love to travel all across India and experience its different cultures and ways of life. Each region is so varied, and I’d love to see it firsthand.

If you could live in any era, past or future, which one would you choose?

The past—when people appreciated the little things in life. Before technology took over, when going out meant dressing up and making an experience of it, rather than just going out to get drunk.
